 Some folks think they need to go out of town for quality healthcare. But the fact is, skillful, caring doctors and state-of-the-art facilities are in place right here in the Matagorda County Hospital District. And everything we do points to one simple priority: taking care of you.
History
The Matagorda County Hospital District was established in 1965 by an act of the Texas Legislature to serve the health care needs of all the residents of Matagorda County. The Hospital District consists of: Matagorda General Hospital, the Public Health Clinic, and the WIC Clinic . A seven-member Board of Managers is appointed by the Commissioners’ Court to govern and assist in the management of all facility.
